Global chip market growth eased to 4% in April, says analyst

The three-month moving average of worldwide chip sales was $21.2 billion in April, about the same ($21.15 billion) as in March, according to Bruce Diesen, analyst with Carnegie Research. The unadjusted chip sales for April should be up 4 percent year-on-year, slower than the 7.3 percent jump recorded in March, Diesen said.
